Foodie Friday Photo – Fried fish on my birthday cruise

Cruising to different parts of the world, relaxing, onboard live entertainment and eating fabulous cruise food. What a wonderful birthday gift to me.
Visiting the different countries and eating food I didn’t have to cook or order from take out where the two main reasons I decided to celebrate my 65th birthday on the Norwegian Gem cruise line out of New York City.
Foodie photos were a must take, including the menus to help remind me what I had eaten and photographed. My family and I have taken photographs of our meals for years. Fried foods are a special taboo treat due to medical issues.
Photographs of food are normally best if taken by a light filled window. Many of the crew members in the dining room remembered me from previous cruises so they were good about finding me a window seat.
The fried fish photo was taken in the Grand Pacific dining room at a small table next to the window. I am not suppose to eat fried foods, however, we were going to be out to sea for three days so I took advantage knowing I could stay in my cabin if I needed to.
The pollack was lightly fried with a slight buttery taste. Two pieces and the French fries were plentiful along with a glass of lemonade.

During our COVID19 quarantine, it made sense to sit and review hundreds of my food images and upload many of them for approval at one of my stock photo agencies. 🙂
