Marigot Bay, Sint Maarten magnet

My first visit to Sint Maarten – St. Martin was an exciting five day solo trip in August 2007. I took this Marigot Bay magnet image, during my second full day on the island. Sint Maarten is part of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, shared with Saint Martin, a French overseas collectivity. I loved being able to visit two countries in one day. 🙂

On my very first day, I asked my hotel desk person for a woman driver. I wanted a private tour of the island for photographs. She politely asked why. I replied I wanted to focus on the drive and the photos and to support a woman owned business.
